York LGBT Forum: June Open Meeting – “Lives Without a Safety Net”

Join York LGBT Forum for our June Open Meeting, bringing together local organisations, charities, and community members to explore the theme: “LGBTQ+ People: Lives Without a Safety Net”

Queer and trans individuals are disproportionately affected by homelessness, financial insecurity, and precarious employment. This open meeting invites discussion on how we can collaborate to better support LGBTQ+ people facing these challenges.

 What to Expect:

• Panel Discussion
  Hear lived experiences and insights into navigating insecurity while LGBTQ+.

• Open Conversation
  Reflect and share with York LGBT Forum members and local organisations. Together, we’ll explore opportunities for collaborative action.

• Networking & Refreshments
  Connect with others over light refreshments in a relaxed, welcoming space.

Who Should Attend?

We welcome representatives from local organisations working in social justice, health and wellbeing, housing, employment, or community support – especially those with a focus on marginalised groups. Whether you’re part of a charity, statutory body, or grassroots group, your voice is valuable.
