Join YLJC – for a special Friday night Shabbat Service to mark York Pride 2025. All are warmly invited to this inclusive evening of prayer, song, and shared community as well as coffee & cake!!

🕯 A Message from Rabbi Elisheva:

We will gather in the spirit of Doikayt, a Yiddish word that means ‘hereness.’ It is a word used by the ‘Bundists’ to affirm that Jews belong where they are. The same can be said for all people, and especially those friends who find themselves joining our community for worship, sisterhood, or events. We belong. You belong. Regardless of your circumstances, your identity, your training, or the person you embrace in love. We have a place for you at our table, a bit of challah, and a glass of juice to share with you. Come share your stories. Come in respect. Come with an open heart and an open mind. Let us celebrate being here, our doikayt, together.
