‘Light Returns’ to Beat the Winter Blues Session 1

January 28, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join St Nicks & the LGBT Forum for an interactive Zoom, nature-based crafts & reflective workshop based on ‘Planting Seeds of Light & Hope’

About this Event

Exploring the theme ‘Planting Seeds of Light & Hope’, together we will make a tealight candle holder, decorated with natural resources, share nature poetry (to be provided), explore reflective questions for the new year & plant seeds to nurture over the coming months. Bring in some light and join us for what’s sure to be a fun and creative session. It might just be the January pick me up you’re looking for!

Prior to the workshop, we suggest gathering any craft materials you might already have at home including string, glue, glue brush, scissors, tealights, pen & paper for any (optional) reflective writing during the session. We also recommend looking in your recycling box to find ‘up-cycling craft treasures’ such as jam jars or different types of paper. We’re happy to provide some additional craft materials if required. No previous arts or crafts experience are necessary.

Advance booking by 25th Jan is essential to ensure we can deliver additional craft kit in time.

Free entry – York residents only. Kindly funded by the City of York Council’s Better Care Fund.
